Put the dislodged control knob back on. |
1. Detach the Belleville spring washers inside the dislodged control knob using tweezers. |
|
2. Attach the Belleville spring washers to the axis where the control knob became dislodged. * Be aware of the mounting orientation of the Belleville spring washers. Follow the way as illustrated in the figure. * If the threaded axis caves in, turn the axis in the direction of the arrow. |
|
3. Insert an Allen wrench into the hole in the center of the knob and give it about three turns counterclockwise to loosen the set screw. * Turning it counterclockwise allows the set screw to rise a little. 4. Align the knob with the axis in the center and turn it clockwise to screw it down. * After screwing it down to some extent, check the knob for looseness by holding it to move up and down. 5. Hand-hold the knob and fasten the set screw securely. |
After fastening the set screw, turn the knob to ensure that the axis works properly and the knob has no looseness.
* If it works loose, repeat the above procedure 1 through 5.
* If the knob feels too tight to turn, go back to the procedure 4 and turn back the knob counterclockwise lightly and then fasten the set screw again.
