Never touch the Heater Unit. Even when the heater looks not heated, the residual heat will remain to maintain reproducibility while the power is on. Before this procedure, switch the power off, and disconnect the AC power cord. Wait from 5 to 10 minutes, and make sure that the whole heated unit cools down completely. Never turn the power on until this procedure becomes completed. |
Error Messages | Causes | Remedies |
---|---|---|
E=01 | The glass capillary chuck on the downside is not lifted to the uppermost position. | Loosen the glass capillary chuck and lift up the glass capillary chuck on the downside to the uppermost position and then fix the glass capillary. Press the start switch to clear the error message and press the start switch again to resume operation. |
E=02 | It took over 30 seconds to adjust the heater output. (Protection against deterioration of the heater unit.) | Set the mode selector to OPERATION and press the start switch to clear the error message. Set the mode selector to HEATER ADJ. and adjust the heater output. |
E=02 | After pressing the start switch and starting the production of a microelectrode, a microelectrode was not produced after 120 seconds. | Due to the heater level set lower, a glass capillary was not melted and thus a microelectrode was not produced. Press the start switch to clear the error message and set the heater level higher and then press the start switch again. (In this procedure, replace the glass capillary with a new one.) |
E=03 | It took over 90 seconds in adjusting MAIN MAGNET or SUB MAGNET. (Protection against overheating the electromagnet.) | Set the mode selector to "OPERATION" and press the start switch to clear the error message. Set the mode selector to "MAIN MAGNET ADJ." or SUB MAGNET ADJ. to make adjustments to the magnet. |
E=04 | The glass capillary chuck on the downside is not lifted to the uppermost position. | Loosen the glass capillary chuck and lift up the glass capillary chuck on the downside to the uppermost position and then fix the glass capillary. Press the start switch to clear the error message and press the start switch again to resume operation. |
E=05 | After starting the production of a microelectrode, the glass capillary chuck on the downside stopped halfway through the task. | Due to the heater level set lower, a glass capillary was not melted and thus a microelectrode was not produced. Or due to the output of MAIN MAGNET set lower, a glass capillary was not pulled. Replace the glass capillary and press the start switch to clear the error message. Set the heater level higher or set MAIN MAGNET higher and then press the start switch again. (In this procedure, replace the glass capillary with a new one.) |
E=05 | After starting the production of a microelectrode, the glass capillary chuck on the downside stopped halfway through the task. | Due to the big difference in high-low settings between the heater selector switch and the SUB/MAIN selector switch, MAIN MAGNET was not turned ON after the heater was turned off. Replace the glass capillary and press the start switch to clear the error message and then reduce the high-low difference between the heater selector switch and the SUB/MAIN selector switch or raise the heater output or set the output of SUB MAGNET higher. |
E=99 | Failed fixation of the heater or a break in the heater. | Tighten the fixing screw of the heater securely. If the heater is deteriorated and disconnected, replace the heater with a new one. |
